Printer Friendly Recipe
CRUST
1 package yellow cake mix - minus 1 cup to be set aside.
1/2 cup of melted butter
1 egg
blend and press into bottom of a 13x9 pan.
FILLING
1 (16 oz.) can of pumpkin
2 1/2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
2/3 c. milk
stir together and pour over crust.
TOPPING
cup of reserved cake mix
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. butter, softened
chopped nuts (optional)
Stir together reserved cake mix, sugar, cinnamon and butter; and crumble over top of filling. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-50 min. Cool. Top with whipped cream.

ReplyDeletePaula Deen has a very similar recipe I love called Pumpkin Gooey Butter Cake. It's the same except minus the topping. I'll have to try this version. Thanks for sharing!
